Faction Power changes mission scale, reward conditions, loot quality, and automated outcomes. Technology changes the equipment a faction can use or sell and how many missions it can present. Those signals give a better basis for a decision than a name alone.

Use the faction roster to identify sectors that align with the next need. Weapons and security, engineering, biotech, chemicals, transport, mining, and construction all sit in different places on the map.
