Estimate Quasimorph mission difficulty from faction Power and Technology, the objective's fail condition, enemy pressure, and the resources needed to extract.
Use Power and Technology as threat signals
The documented faction model gives two useful pre-mission signals rather than a single Easy, Medium, or Hard label. Read both values together, then account for the contract objective.
A strong faction can make a route dangerous in two different ways: more bodies through Power and more capable equipment through Technology. Those pressures also affect the value of loot and the equipment available through the same faction.
- Power
- Affects enemy count, dropped-item quality, rewards, automated mission outcomes, and the creation of new missions.
- Technology
- Determines equipment the faction can use or sell and how many missions it can offer at once.
- Objective
- Adds its own risk through timers, protected targets, required cargo, fixed positions, or floor-clearance rules.
Estimate difficulty before the descent
- Read the win and fail conditions
Identify whether the job is lost to a dead escort, missed timer, destroyed defense object, missing cargo, or incomplete clearance.
- Compare faction Power and Technology
Treat higher Power as a sign of more enemies and stronger rewards, and higher Technology as a sign of better faction equipment.
- Price the objective into the loadout
Reserve carry space for Robbery, sustained supplies for hold missions, mobility for timed kills, and protection for Escort.
- Keep extraction margin
The objective is only useful if the crew can still leave; do not spend the final ammunition, condition, or recovery item on optional rooms.
