Quasimorph bartering is station-specific: check accepted goods, exchange them for faction credit, then inspect or buy inventory in the second tab.
How bartering works, step by step
Magnum PMC is outside the normal market, but corporations still barter with it. There is no universal list of good trade items: accepted goods, available inventory, and prices depend on the station and can change over time.
- Check what the station accepts
Read the station tooltip before moving cargo. It shows the goods that station currently accepts.
- Exchange goods in the first tab
Use accepted items to receive faction credit. Do not assume another station will accept the same cargo.
- Inspect or buy inventory in the second tab
The second barter tab shows what the station sells. Direct purchase requires enough reputation with that faction; the Wiki does not state a fixed threshold.
- Check price movement
Use the Stock Exchange's second tab to see current prices and how they are changing.
- Use Fast Trading only when needed
Enable Fast Trading in settings to exchange without visiting the station.
Which tab does what
The two barter tabs answer different questions. The first converts accepted cargo into faction credit. The second shows station inventory and supports direct purchases when reputation is sufficient.
| What you need | Where to look | What you learn |
|---|---|---|
| What will this station take? | Station tooltip | Currently accepted goods |
| Exchange cargo for credit | First barter tab | Accepted goods and faction credit |
| What can I buy? | Second barter tab | Station sale inventory |
| Can I buy instead of exchange? | Second barter tab | Direct purchase when faction reputation is high enough |
| Is the price changing? | Second Stock Exchange tab | Current prices and their movement |
| Can I trade remotely? | Fast Trading setting | Exchange without a station visit |
Why a trade may not work
A rejected item is not automatically bugged: that station may not accept it now. A blocked direct purchase can mean your faction reputation is not high enough. The official Wiki does not provide one universal reputation threshold.
If reputation with a faction falls below zero, all accumulated barter points with that faction are cleared. Check the balance before deliberately turning a faction hostile.
Common mistakes
Check the current station tooltip. Accepted goods are station-specific and change over time.
Build more reputation with that faction; the available Wiki data does not state an exact threshold.
Reputation below zero clears that faction's accumulated barter points.
