Quasimorphosis is a pressure clock for a floor. Its level changes the danger of enemy manifestations and eventually forces a confrontation that prevents evacuation.
Treat the meter as a strategic timer
Quasimorphosis is the point of contact between bramfaturas and physical space. As the value rises, quasimorphs become stronger and eccolapses become more likely.
Time advances the meter. Death on the current floor also pushes it upward, and most meat-derived consumables create a sharp increase. Certain luxury foods, recreational items, and drugs can lower it. Damage to property and robots does not change it.
- Absentia locks the meter at zero for selected hold-style missions.
- Somnia begins below 100 and has no eccolapse chance.
- Grasp begins at 100 and enables eccolapse.
- Higher bands raise enemy strength and make manifestation events increasingly common.

Plan for the forced end state
At 1000, Rapture begins. Evacuation becomes unavailable until the Baron is killed, and that victory resets the meter to 100. Reaching the cap is a commitment, not a routine escalation.
An eccolapse leaves a newly manifested quasimorph immobile and invulnerable for its first two turns. Use that interval to reposition or let other enemies redirect their attention. A breakthrough is a separate event that can place quasimorphs around the operative without an eccolapse.
